About KeyNote
KeyNote is an open-source notebook / information manager for Win-32 platforms, written in Borland Delphi and distributed under Mozilla Public License 1.1. With a tab-based interface, RTF editor and hierarchical tree outline, it is an extremely versatile tool for managing unorganized, textual information. KeyNote was originally released in August 2000, and is now a mature and stable application at version 1.5 (November 2002). KeyNote has been twice voted "Pricelessware" by readers of alt.comp.freeware newsgroup (http://www.pricelessware.org/2002/pricelesswareorganizers.htm). The SourceForge site holds the current release (binary and source code), and will be used more extensively during the development of version 2.0, which is a complete rewrite of the program. For documentation, feature lists, FAQ, screenshots etc., please see the links below.
I am looking for developers and designers who would like to assist in designing version 2.0 of KeyNote. The URLs below will lead you to more information about specific tasks and ideas to implement. KeyNote supports plugins, which are standard Windows DLLs, and do not have to be built with Delphi. Porting to Linux, or building a PDA version and a conduit, are just examples of useful tasks which could be done and for which I have no skills or tools. If you would like to help with development, or if you can provide Delphi expertise, please see the contact information below.
